Dr. Glen K.
King received his D.V.M.
from Auburn University. He is Board Certified in
Radiology and Radiation Oncology and a Diplomate of the
American
College of Veterinary Radiology. He is the founder of Gulf
Coast Veterinary Oncology (1989) and Gulf Coast Veterinary
Diagnostic Imaging (1994). He specializes in the
multidisciplinary approach to managing the cancer patient,
with particular emphasis in radiation therapy.
Dr. Janet Carreras received her V.M.D. in 1998 from The University of Pennsylvania.
She went on to complete a Small Animal Medicine & Surgery Internship
(1999) and Medical Oncology Residency (2001) at the University of
Pennsylvania. She is Board Certified in Medical Oncology by the
American College of Veterinary Internal
Medicine. She specializes in the diagnostic and medical management
of our patients with cancer. She is also certified in Veterinary
Acupuncture.
Dr. Melissa Endicott
received her D.V.M. in 2001 from Texas A & M's College
of Veterinary Medicine, completed a Small Animal Medicine & Surgery
Internship in 2002 from Angell Memorial Hospital for Animals in Boston, and
completed a Medical Oncology Residency in 2004 in a joint program between
the Animal Medical Center, New York and the University of Illinois College
of Veterinary Medicine. She is a board certified Medical Oncologist by the
American College of Veterinary
Internal Medicine. We are thrilled that Dr.
Endicott is a part of our team and providing state-of-the-art care for our
patients with cancer.
Dr. Elias Gumpel
received a B.S. in Biology from The University of Texas at Austin in 1998
and then went on to receive his D.V.M. degree from Texas A&M College of
Veterinary Medicine in 2004. He then spent the next four years from 2004 –
2008 as a general practitioner in Katy, TX and is now pursuing
specialization in the field of Veterinary Radiation Oncology as an intern
here at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists.He sees patients under the
supervision of one of the staff oncologist.
Drs. King, Carreras and Endicott are available to consult
